CWE Live In Kamloops Featuring ECW Icon The Franchise Shane Douglas

CWE Is Officially Franchised To Celebrate 11 Years Apr 26-May 31st.

Not even 24 hours removed from the history making CWE “The Juice Is On The Loose Tour” that saw Canadian Wrestling’s Elite break new ground in plenty of new markets and travel new lengths with a debut in Ottawa, Ontario, the furthest the company has traveled yet management is right back in the saddle in preparation for what’s next!

CWE hits 11 years of operations on January 23rd, 2020 and this major milestone of the company entering its second decade of operations will be celebrated with yet another groundbreaking tour headlined by wrestling icon and 5x World Champion, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas!

CWE Presents The 11th Anniversary Tour Apr 26th-May 31st, hosting 36 events in 36 days across the country of Canada with many more new markets scheduled to host their first ever CWE event on this historic tour as well as CWE taking our national expansion another step forward with CWE’ producing our first ever event in the province of Quebec, making it a total of six provinces visited on this tour!

The legendary Shane Douglas returns to CWE for the first time since a one off but very memorable appearance against “Hotshot” Danny Duggan on March 16th, 2013.

“The Franchise” Shane Douglas is one of the most controversial figures in the history of professional wrestling as not only a man who always marched to the beat of his own drum but as the man who in just one night revolutionized the entire industry and its future when he won the historic NWA World Championship and through it to the ground in declaration of the now Extreme Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship.

As a man who went against the grain, Shane Douglas represents the rebellious spirit of Canadian Wrestling’s Elite, a company against much push back and advisement for years to stay on their own turf have expanded across nearly the entire country of Canada and continue to expand by the day.

For the the first time in just over 7 years since last seen in a CWE ring, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas will headline his first ever nation wide Canadian wrestling tour and not only add his star power and experience to the always growing brand but also enter a world any experienced veteran of the sport who visits CWE call “the last territory in professional wrestling” and give the last real roster of professional wrestling a first hand lesson in what old school is really all about!

“The Franchise” is no gimmick but a reality as Shane Douglas has been a cornerstone of every major organization he has ever competed in. At the forefront of the ECW explosion into pop culture and as a serious wrestling alternative, Shane Douglas would hold the ECW World Championship on four occasions.

Arguably the greatest ECW World Champion in the promotion’s history, not only did Douglas hold the title on four occasions but also has the distinction of most combined days as ECW Champion and the single longest reign as champion, coming in at an awe inspiring 406 days in his most infamous reign as champion.

Shane Douglas also has the NWA World Championship on his resume much to the dismay of many wrestling historians and purists and has the distinction of holding some of the most prestigious and sought after championships in the industry including the WWF Intercontinental Championship, WCW United States Championship, the ECW Television Championship, and with two WCW World Tag Team Championships to his name.

Shane Douglas looks to translate his global success to the Canadian wrestling history books over 36 events across the country and become “The Franchise” of CWE and Canadian wrestling just like everywhere else he has consistently laced up the boots!
